Congratulations Harlem Renaissance High School Class of 2019 Graduates! It is with a tremendous amount of honor and pride that I wish each member of the Class of 2019 congratulations. I would like to thank the student body and staff for a great 2018-2019 school year and take this opportunity to acknowledge the strength, dedication and determination of the students and staff of Harlem Renaissance High School.
To the graduates, I’m proud of your fortitude, perseverance and commitment to success. In addition, I’m impressed with how the Harlem Renaissance High School Community continuously encourages individual self-growth with an emphasis on building a community that can support one another beyond graduation. We are a community that understands humility, acknowledges that each individual is unique, as we recognize our individual differences with respect to ensure that we work together to achieve our personal and academic goals. These traits are quintessential attributes as you prepare for the next chapter in your life. I am confident that these attributes will remain with you throughout your life.
As you prepare for life after graduation, please know that you have the ability and intellect to sculpt your future as you like. Your work ethic and resiliency must never waiver as you continue to grow personally, professionally, academically, and intellectually. These qualities will be essential as you face the many challenges and obstacles that will confront you on this journey we call life. Remember, you are not alone on this journey, parents, family members and friends will be essential as you continue to navigate through the many streams of life.
The following key tips and strategies will help you remain focused on your path to success.
Always remember the hard work and sacrifices you made to earn your High School Diploma. You should be aware of your true inner-self when facing the many challenges and obstacles that will materialize on your journey. It’s important that you accept and embrace change, even though it can be uncomfortable. Acquiring wisdom is a necessary part of individual growth as you develop the ability to search for knowing your true self.
Finally, you should always believe in yourself and never give up. You have to keep on going and make adjustments until you eventually reach your destination.
The Harlem Renaissance High School Community will always be here to provide support as you turn to the next page of your life.
